1. Who We Are

Saigon Padel League is powered by PadelHero. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Saigon Padel League through our web application and mobile apps (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information - name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider.
  • Profile information - player display name, club affiliations, and skill ratings that you or league administrators provide. A league administrator may also record a contact email address or phone number on your player profile.
  • Match data - scores, sets, match dates, locations, opponents, and partners for matches you participate in or record.
  • Photos and video - photos and match recordings that you or your league upload, together with any credit or caption attached to them. Every item carries a visibility setting that decides who can see it: everyone, signed-in members, only the person who uploaded it, or only administrators.
  • Health data - heart rate information (average BPM, max BPM, effort zones) if you choose to import it from a CSV file. This data is entirely optional.
  • Device information - a push notification token for each device you turn notifications on for, and whether you are using the web, iOS or Android version. A push token identifies one app installation so a notification can reach it. We delete it when you turn notifications off or delete your account. We do not collect advertising identifiers such as IDFA or IDFV, we do not collect your location, and we do not track your browsing on other sites.
  • Usage data - standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for maintaining service reliability and security.
  • Analytics and session recording - we use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to understand how the app is used and to diagnose errors. It receives page views, web performance measurements, errors, and a short fixed list of product actions: registering, signing up for a season or tournament, submitting, approving or contesting a score, starting and finishing live scoring, joining an open game, voting for a most valuable player, and claiming a profile. Once you sign in, these are tied to your account identifier and your role. We never send your name, email address or phone number to PostHog, and any token in a link is replaced before the link is sent. PostHog also records sessions, which is a replay of the pages you saw and where you clicked and scrolled; text you type into a form is masked and is not recorded. Your browser sends all of this to our own domain, which passes it on to PostHog servers in the European Union.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service - displaying match results, league standings, player profiles, and tournament brackets.
  • To send notifications - match approvals, schedule changes, league updates, and other events you are involved in.
  • To calculate ratings and statistics - personal performance metrics, win/loss records, and skill ratings.
  • To maintain security - preventing unauthorized access and abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. No advertising network runs in the Service and no advertising SDK is bundled with it. Leagues do show their sponsors’ logos on season and division pages. Every visitor to a page sees the same logos, and no personal data is used to choose or target them.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted database hosted on secure infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS. Passwords are hashed and are never stored in plain text. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we strip your sign-in details, name, email address, avatar and two-factor secrets from it, and we delete your notifications and push notification registrations. Match results and league standings stay with the league, attached to a player profile that is no longer linked to any account.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth and Sign in with Apple - for optional social sign-in. The provider receives only the authentication request; we receive your name and email. Apple sends the name only the first time you sign in, and passes on a relay address if you choose to hide your email.
  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) - for delivering push notifications to iOS and Android devices.
  • Web Push (VAPID) - for delivering push notifications to web browsers.
  • PostHog - for product analytics, error reporting and session recording, as described in section 2. Data is processed in the European Union.
  • Amazon Web Services - S3 stores the photos and video uploaded to the Service, and SES sends the emails we send you.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data - your profile, match history, and statistics are visible in the app.
  • Correct inaccurate data - contact us to update information you cannot edit yourself.
  • Delete your account and data - go to Settings, then Account, and use “Delete account”. You can also email us at the address below and we will do it for you.
  • Export your data - contact us to receive a copy of your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent - you can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.

Saigon Padel League is powered by PadelHero. Match results, ratings, player profiles and the accounts you sign in with are held on the PadelHero platform, and the terms above apply to that data. League administrators for Saigon Padel League can see and manage the league data you take part in.
